Staying Safe at Your house

January 28th, 2012

I have been speaking about home security with a lot of homeowners. I am trying to gain some insight on different ways our homes can be threatened. I asked each person I spoke with if they had ever witnessed any suspicious actions at home. A burglary, a broken window, a suspicious individual – anything really. I was surprised that almost every single person had at least one story. Many of the experiences would lead them to buy a home alarm system. I have heard that www.DelrayBeachHomeSecurity.com is a great option.

One person informed me that he had been home for the afternoon one day, but left to go pick his little boy up from basketball practice. After they got back approximately twenty minutes later, one of the windows was shattered and things were missing inside. He suspected that he had been watched, and the robber knew once he left the house. Another mother of three told me that she once opened the door for a man who claimed to be a salesperson. After the guy finished speaking, he asked if he could come inside to speak more about it. She declined, and he again replied by asking if he could still come inside to use her phone. Since the man was being so persistent, she declined again and shut the door.

All of us have had encounters with shady situations and people. Some are worse than others, like that of the first man. The information I am researching helps me determine what motivates people to install a home security system. The second woman said she chose to get one the next day.

I have heard a ton of comparable stories from other people. You never know what will happen on a given day. I am sure these two people did not wake up and think something abnormal would happen that day. It definitely stresses the importance of always being prepared.
